Energy Yield of a solar power plant in Gurgaon

Updated: Jun 10, 2021

Gurgaon is one of the most polluted cities in India. A well put solar power plant production has a certain blemishes of all the bad smog events engulfing the city time and again. It can be clearly seen that the Delhi NCR region looses about 10% of the energy to pollution and diffused radiation. Still systems are capable of producing 3.5 kWh/kWp/Day in Gurgaon.

About the solar plant

This plant was installed at an orientation of 40 Degress from south towards the west. The plant has 2 strings of 20 modules each. The modules are connected to the inverter with dual MPPT and a dual SPD (surge protection ) is used for each of these inputs. This way the mismatch losses between the 2 strings can be minimised. This residential solar power plant in sector 23 , Gurgaon has performed without any downtime from the last 18 months and has reduced the electricity bill of the owner by 97%. During the full last year (2019) the total bill paid by the owner is Rs. 90 against a bill of Rs. 1.5 lakhs which he used to pay normally , annually.
